Men’s Formal Shirts

When asked about the feeling of shopping for men’s wear, most people would say that it isn’t really that exciting compared to shopping for women’s clothing. This is simply because there are just few choices in men’s clothing. Specifically, men’s wear is somewhat only enclosed to shirts, pants and jackets compared to the huge variety in the women’s wear. However, there is also a justification for this and it’s the fact that most men are just lazy to shop for their clothes as compared to women who are just so passionate about hopping from one shop to another even just for an initial window shopping. With this fact, clothing shopping can be really difficult for men especially if you will still include the effort needed just to fit the shirts. Men can just tolerate fitting a shirt once or twice, and with the apparent laziness to shop and fit the shirt, it is not a mystery why shopping isn’t an easy task for men. However, the issue of fitting can be easily addressed by just knowing the right size for you. You can also skip the process of fitting by just looking into the size chart and color. But of course, you can use the chart if you know your measurements, thus you should first know your size before you go out and shop. Once you are familiar with your body type and measurements, you can finally spare yourself from the tedious fitting sessions for the shirts that you’ve chosen before buying them.

With the chart above, you can easily find the shirt size for you. First, you need to take your measurements and compare then on the sizes at the chart. However, you should know how to take your measurements properly. You will need a measuring tape, and then just lay it flat on you while keeping a straight posture. Remember that you should measure by using inches so that your outcome will match the sizing at the chart which is on inches, not on centimeters.

Measuring your Chest Size – Remember to keep your hands on your side while measuring your chest area. This will ensure that you can have a full access on your chest. Then, just place the tape measure across your shoulder blades, just below your underarms. From opposite ends, start measuring the fullest part of your chest.

Measuring your Sleeve Size – Like in measuring your chest area, you also need to keep your arms at your side, but this time have your arms slightly bent. Start measuring from the center of the back of your neck until the area of your shoulder. Once you’re done, you can now go down to the arm and outside the area of your wrist.

Measuring your Neck Size – You can do this without touching your neck. All you have to do is to get a shirt that fits you perfectly and then, just measure the collar of that shirt. However, bear in mind that before you start getting the measurement, you must first button the collar and place the measuring tape starting from the button. Once you are done doing this, just continue on with wrapping the neck area all around the inner side of the collar until finally the tape measure meets at the starting point.
